Exploring and Travelling through Japan: My Customer’s Review

This review is from one of my customers who is learning Japanese with me and they recently went on a fabulous trip to Japan in 2019.

Dazzling Japan!

Our first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun didn’t disappoint. First stop, Tokyo! An incredible metropolis like no other which has to be seen to be believed; a must for anyone who loves Shopping, Sightseeing, Sushi and Sumo! Our multi-centre tour then took us by Bullet train to historic Kyoto, home of 1,500 shrines and temples and a glimpse of the occasional Maiko if you’re lucky… and more shops. Kyoto is well situated in Japan, allowing us day trips to Kanazawa to see the beautiful Kenroku-en Garden and also Hiroshima to view the sobering Bomb Dome and museum. The final leg of our trip took us to the Hakone, Izu and Mount Fuji region for a relaxing Onsen experience before returning to Tokyo. In no particular order, we loved Japan’s unique culture; its varied and delicious food and drink; incredible customer service; beautiful countryside; welcoming, friendly and warm people; extensive rail network; clean trains; electric toilets; safe environment; crazy TV shows…

The trip was especially memorable being able to have a go speaking Japanese with the locals which is due to Junko San’s brilliant language classes and invaluable insight into Japanese culture.

Thanks Junko, we will return to Japan!
