A Bit About Me

Please feel free to browse through my website.  There’s plenty of things to see.

I’m a native Japanese speaker who lives in Cheshire, England.  I was a teacher in Japan for many years before I moved to Nantwich to live with my husband.  I now have a family and would like to just share my knowledge and expertise of all things Japanese.

Contact me if you would like to learn something Japanese.

I offer:

  • bespoke Japanese language lessons (face-to-face or on Skype)

  • workshops in calligraphy, origami and cooking

All of my lessons and workshops will be tailored to suit your needs.

Cultural Festival in Crewe

This is me at a cultural festival in Crewe (Sunday 12th July).  I ran a calligraphy and origami workshop.  It was so rewarding to see so many people interested in Japanese culture.  Everyone who took part in the workshop did a fantastic job and it was a real pleasure to help people to learn how to create origami and to write in Japanese.

I was wearing a yukata, a Japanese garment.  It is a casual summer kimono usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, and unlined. Like other forms of traditional Japanese clothing, yukatas are made with straight seams and wide sleeves.

I can’t wait until my next workshop!
